Here's some info on the ball:
http://www.columbia300.com/trackarchives/balls.cfm?bid=5

I haven't tried the ball, but I bowl weekly with someone who does have the ball.  The ball doesn't seem like a dry-lane ball at all.  It works very well on medium oil conditions.  It has a decent amount of backend similar to my Freak-A-Zoid.  He does have a higher axis-tilt and speed, and his ball is drilled more aggressively than my FAZ.  Hope this helps.

Right now, they are many better choices on dry than the Thrash. The Dry Heat, Hexplosion, and Crash are better in my opinion. Just depends on what you are looking for.

danny,

The Thrash is not a dry lane ball. As Clint mentions there are many better choices in the Track line for dry.
The Thrash backends like reactive....it is pearl reactive. I thought at the time it was released it was probably VERY underrated. It performs well on house shots...AND it tames down over under a bit.

Isn't the Wow coverstock considered Particle Pearl? Anyway the Thrash I would not consider a dry lane ball. Mine hooks a bunch.

Clint, My Hexplosion really doesn't qualify as a light oil ball. I find it's best for a nice medium shot. I feel there way too much ball here for it to be a light oil ball. Might have a little to do with the surface prep however.

Drilling, surface, and the bowler adds many variables to how a ball performs for one person vs another. Your Hexplosion may be a medium ball for you. However, for me, I can use it as a 10 pin ball almost anywhere I go, meaning the ball goes straight for me and doesn't grab the dry too much.

Hey Danny,

The Thrash is a pearl particle that offers good length and good finish to be geared more for a med, med/dry type condition, not intended for dry.  Considering the fact that it is particle, it has a very strong finish to it if it can see some dry.  Hope this helps some....
