Phoenix in BTM

Very positive things stated throughout the entire review. Good ratings in mediums and sport patterns.

It is mentioned throughout how versatile the coverstock is, and how changing the surface makes a huge difference in reaction on different conditions.

I wonder what is a bad review or a bad ball? Isn't it covered by "i am a bad Bowler or this are the wrong lane conditions?"

So is this ball going to be released or not? I heard that this one and the "10" were not going to be released.

While I agree that you rarely read poor comments in a review....what a person reading the review must do is pay attention to the comments of the person/publication that has done the review.

Personally I place very little merit into the numbers that the publication has decided on. The total hook number for example-------means nothing to me. What I look for is what ball in that company's line they compare it to and what statements are made about the comparison. Another key to watch for is when they state things about the ball for once the lane has started to breakdown a bit.

It all comes down to how a particular bowling ball fits with your game. Does it match your game or not? If it does, then it's a good bowling ball. I take all the reviews with a grain of salt. However, I do read them so from an advertising point of view they are effective. Unless the reviewer throws his shots in a similar manner to you, then it really doesn't matter that much what they say, except to peak you interest and give you a positive mind set with a new bowling ball. And that is what the bowling manufactures want from reviewers. Almost all of today's bowling balls hit and carry well as a general rule. As far as versitility of a cover stock is concerned, most bowlers never alter the covers anyway. And those that due, probably would do so regardless of what a reviewer said.
