Rising
« on: November 24, 2007, 08:11:24 AM »
I picked up a Rising last week and I'm impressed thus far. I shot 722 last night in league condition.  There were five guy's playing in my track area, between first and second arrow.  I moved one board all last night and this ball was impressive.  The ball goes fairly long, with great mid-lane and back end explosion.  It hits the pocket with authority, the pins explode and stay low.  The mix and carry is much better than most other newer balls.  Even with the flood up the middle, this ball came back from the outside and it really never skidded for me.  It appears, this ball will go through oil with movement.  I kept the ball  box finish, with the recommend drilling, pin below and beneath my fingers, with no weight hole.  I never had a Track ball until this one and I hope it last longer, than most of the other high end junk balls on the market.  I'll post again in the future, to report the progress of this ball.

Key to getting any longevity out of new aggressive coverstocks is cleaning them. Grab some clean and dull and you will be set for a few seasons

Sounds good elvis, the Rising is an incredible piece.  The continuation thru the pins is what I was impressed with most.  It carries for me sometimes even when I know I've thrown a so-so shot.  That's the kind of ball "I" want or should I say "need".

I have about 40-50 games on mine with no signs of loss in reaction.  I'd have to say that Carl has at least a 100 or so also with his and the ball is still going strong.

I do however highly recommend to keep "any" and "all" of our modern day high tech equipment clean (as ElDiablo has stated).  Maintenance these days is of the utmost importance to help promote longevity in our equipment.

My personal recommended cleaners are Ebonite Power Wash to help remove the primary level of dirt and oil. Then apply Ebonite Clean and Dull for the good deep cleaning.
