Looking into another Track ball
« on: April 13, 2011, 01:57:21 AM »
I currently have the 715T, 920A, and 505A, with a HyRoad and Bruns. Avalance Slide (for a spare ball). I'm looking to add another Track series ball to the collection. My 920A is only oddity in what I have - since it's a short pin, it's relatively smooth.  I can get it to break, but it's pretty smooth throughout the lane. 715T really kicks on heavier shots, and 505A is great for when they break down (my favorite). I've heard great things about the 505T, and that the 920T is pretty versatile. What do you think my collection could use?

I got a 916AT about 2 months ago. That ball is incredible in my hands. I have it drilled 40*X4.5"X80*. It starts to check up pretty early, but it saves a ton of energy for the end of the pattern. I can move all over the lane on anything more than a desert and less than a flood.

It's very speed/rev sensitive, but not a big deal if you can keep from having a lot of pilot errors.

The problem with the 505T and the 920T is that both are discontinued now. So if you can make a play to get eather of these, do so. The 505T will do almost the same thing as the 715T but just on a less amount of oil. The 920T is one of the best and most overlooked balls track has ever put out. I dont know of to many HYBRID bowling balls today that get pushed to side and dont perform or sell. Eather of these to balls would be a good addition to any bowling bag. Both are versital and perform great. I myself would go with the 920T over the 505T, yet you really couldnt go wrong with eather of them. Also you might want to look into the 718A, this is another really good and versital ball we have out. All three take to cover changes and different layouts well.
