The summer
« on: June 18, 2006, 01:38:43 PM »
For those of you in summer leagues...or bowing various tournaments in the summer...what Track equipment are you using most?

I cannot put the Machine down. I have found that it performs on almost anything....other than dry ofcourse. I have been having success with a pin axis Heat Blast on the drier stuff.

How about you?

In my normal house shot adult/junior league on Mondays, a mix of the RoboRule, Animal, Slash and Solution Power Plus Ex depending on the conditions and how many lefties are on the pair with me.

On Thursdays for the sport shot league, those 4 balls plus my Rule come with me to every session.

Where I bowl it's been predominately dry...it would say light to medium oil. In those conditions I've been using my Arsenal Artillery the most, usually on an inside line, over 15 out and in. I've been trying to use the Machine but it's just a little too strong. I haven't had to go to my dry(er) lane stuff as of yet. I still have been carting six balls to bowling...Robo Rule, Machine, Arsenal Artillery, Solution Power Plus Ex, Desert Heat, and Flaming T (or Columbia Blue Dot) but I keep thinking of reducing that to just four...Machine, Arsenal Artillery, Solution PP Ex, and spare ball. However, I know...just know...that if I do that it will be either flooded, or extremely dry one night.

Still facing medium-light oil, still using the Solution PowerPlus Ex. Even the Xception is too strong for the oil I'm facing.

Track Heat at the moment. Since I've had a major grip change, I am going to plug and redrill my old 14# Havoc. Did plug and redrill my 15# Havoc, but since I've dropped back to 14# balls, I probably won't throw it again. Have a new Machine that I won on Tracks "ball a day give away" sitting in my closet that I haven't drilled yet.

As I stated in the first post.....I cannot put down the Machine, however, the lane conditions I am bowling on this summer have screamed Desert Heat. I will be using it next week!

So far I have been using a Rule Delta 1 the most, since I only have that and a Desert drilled up atm, should be getting the Artillery and a Havoc drilled up soon.
