Need some ideas
« on: January 15, 2005, 01:29:27 AM »
I am in the market for a new ball.  My KO Punch has seen its last days... Its getting retired!  I bowl at a center that has medium to heavy oil most of the time.  Its a standard league shot nothing crazy.  What balls does track have out that are Similar to the ko punch ball?  I just want some ideas if I cant find anything thats close then what can be said about their new stuff coming out.  Any good?  Thanks all!

Hey mikey,

I'd say you have a few to pick from that will give you a similar reaction.  The Slash, Freakazoid or even the Xception.  All three balls fall into the
med-med/lite category.  The Slash is probably going to give you the closest reaction I'd say to the KO from my memory (which is questionable these days).  Hope this helps some...

The Slash will be very close as Ten says. Slash is a great ball for an unbeatable price!

revs, the Slash is not directly set up to be the replacement for the Crunch...different core/cover etc.......however if you read my review and mini review I see the Slash as being very similiar to the Crunch and Havoc. It is smooth and able to handle some oil....not the floods....but definately more than mediums. It actually has the Triton Elite core with a stronger reactive shell.

And the Triton Elite is what replaced my KO Punch for now... So thats why I thought I would stay with track.  I know the balls work well and are always versitile!
