New arsenal idea, please help!
« on: May 31, 2005, 08:11:38 PM »
I'm going to start with my info.
I'm a average speed bowler with low rev.
I'm also a low tracker but don't know my pap.

My orginial plan was a three ball arsenal but I have
change my mind and go with four ball arsenal.

heavy-GP2
mid heavy-Xception 5.0
mid light-Xception
dry-???

I havn't drill it any of the ball yet.
I have both 5.0 and X on the way.

My Question is.
How should I drill my X5.0 and X ??? (Both with three inch pin and top)
What ball should i get for dry ???

I know I ask the same Question Before but now I change it my arsenal idea.
Maybe I need to change the way the ball is drill.

Thanks!!!

danny,

I will try to help you with the info you have given.

The Xception 5.0 for the mid/heavy part of your line up should work well. I would place the pin 4 1/2 inches from your PAP (ball driller should locate this for you) keeping it low, like just below the fingers(depending on your PAP this will probably end up being close to under your ring finger). The MB I would place about 2 inches right of the thumb (assuming you are right handed)(it will end up being below the thumb as well). This drilling should fit perfectly for what you need.

The Xception I would do opposite with. I would place the pin 4 1/2 - 4 3/4 inches from your PAP but I would keep the pin above your fingers. Have the MB placed directly under your thumb. This placement is between strong flip and control. It will help place the ball in that mid/light category for you.

As for your dry lane ball, out of what you can currently find I like the Hexplosion to fit there. Currently many of us have differing opinions on this. It is rumored that a ball called the Desert Heat is coming out.

Goodluck,

I say Heat, Ex says Hexplosion, some say go find a Dry Heat. Either way, one will be close as long as you drill it to go long. If this rumored Desert Heat comes out, you just may want to wait a few weeks to see if it is true!
