New Track
« on: June 10, 2014, 12:56:49 PM »
Track announced their new stuff, I was looking towards throwing mostly Hammer but damn these 3 look good.

I'm still not a fan of the naming system, however, it does allow them to mix and match cores and covers which I think allows them to have a more versatile lineup.

Typo on mx16 description, says face core but it will be the I-core like pictured

I must say i am really impressed by the latest releases by Track. Never have thrown one but i do have a new in box 400a se. Love the looks of the Tour X, MX10, LX05 and MX16. Waiting for fall league to drill it up.

I had a 910A that I put a couple 300s on and I still have my 505c^2 that I have my 2 highest sanctioned series on. 793 and 777 in the same week

Yeah the 910a has treated me very well, but the stock finish definitely wasn't a fit for my game since the polish allowed it to skid too far since I'm a very high speed and high rev.  Wore some of the polish off using it on burnt up lanes and bites a little earlier and goes great with the speed

mx16 has me interested right now since it seems similar to the 910a but without the pearl, wonder how the core will change things as it seems to be different.  I think this mx16 would better suit my style on longer patterns since if I could get just an extra board or two from a slightly earlier breakpoint with a similar back end.

the new numbering system will totally make sense once all the new balls are released
i think (speculating a bit) there will be a 5, 10, 16 series in each of the L,M,H
which would make 9 balls in all in that new numbering series

To be fair, the system is brand new and up until now we only had 3 balls in it. The old system was just like this at one point.

Wait until we get more releases and the system should work a lot more effectively. Once we have a good mix of L,M,H and core #s we should have a nice arsenal to pick from. Just gotta wait. Looking forward to how its going to play out. Hopefully better than the old system did. (Fingers crossed)
Track Arsenal:
Lx16
930T
920A
910A
607A
505T
505C
400A
300C
Track Spare
(Ebonite)
SR300

No speculating there, the track staffers have already said it's going that direction

I'm pretty sure that was what was intended the last time they redid their system too
