I just picked up the 715c not too long ago and I really like it. Right now I've got the 920a, 715c, and the 505a.

My question is, is the 920t different enough to warrant having it with the balls I already have?? Will it noticeably handle more oil then My 715c with the same drilling and OOB surface or would I need to play with different patterns and surfaces??

920T will no doubt be stronger than the 715C. If your 715C is OOB, then it should be 2000 polished. With the 920T having more surface because it is at 4000 will be able to handle more oil. Also if you feel that it doesn't, you can always take the surface down some more. I have another 920T coming, that I will put a pin up drilling like my 715C, but put my surface at 2000 to see how much more it will read the midlane.

Freestyler the ball came in so I will drill it tonight and let you know how they compare. Same drill and same surface.

Freestyler with only about 2 games on it, same drill, same surface, the 920T is earlier and more rolly. The 715C was about 3 to 5 boards cleaner with almost the same reaction. I will do a better review hopefully tomorrow as I break in some new shoes.

I''d like to point something out on this if I could. I tested both my 920T''s against idenitically drilled 930t''s and 920a''s on the shark (worn wood lanes) and took them all down to 1000 and the 920T was STILL much more continuous and rolly off the spot. It definitily can handle longer/flatter patterns very well. After reading your post I did the same thing with a 715c I had laying around and they compliment each other very well.

Guys,

Interesting comparison, BUT when you see the BTM reviews for the new 505T, I think you're going to have to add it to your mix for Track oilers!!
It got 9s and 9.5s for oil
and 8s and 7.5s for medium oil.
They loved it for true oil.
A 5 series ball??? Interesting.
