went to the VA state tourny this weekend and the pro shop in one house had 4 Phoenix balls in the shop, so i got one and another guy got one while i was there, but none of the boxes had drill sheets in them


so im wondering if anyone has drill sheets they can scan and email me for the ball or a link for it, any help would be appreciated

Kenny that diagram 99% isn't close to what the layout ends up looking like. The Pin to PAP distance is the most important part of the layout on the drill sheet and so is the Pin being above below the fingers. Yes you did suggest Pin above the ring finger or bridge but believe me if he is a low tracker the pin will be way left and if he is a high tracker that pin will not end up there. A general description is not the way to go these days. Most equipment can be tweaked to do almost anything but for it do as the person wants you need to get technical, for him the layout you suggested could be anywhere from a 4" to 6" pin to pap distance, creating many different reaction possibilities.

I'd say you were on the right track but you needed to take it further. And also for more proof of what I said in that wall look at drilling #1 compared to drilling #3, they appear the same but are not very close.

But take it into reality, how many AVERAGE bowlers know how far their pin from PAP distance is?

I know a whole lot of bowlers who don't even know where their PAP is located.

Simple answer is not enough and that is why you see bad reviews with ball due to a driller just slapping a drilling on it and not asking for important info.

Now back relating on the topic by getting the drill sheet (I agree looks like tracks normal symmetrical core drill sheet) but that should be enough to get you in the ball park, I wish I had used one to comment though on what the ball is really like but I believe there was a topic not too long ago by (correct me if i'm wrong) SteveAustin had a topic on one he drilled up and used, Scoot should know.

going to my proshop tomorrow if he is there and getting my measurements done again, think my PAP has changed as track on my balls have completely changed since i had it checked last, so i will have that info for you tomorrow night hopefully


my track at the moment is pretty much between my thumb and fingers, now sure what ive changed on my release and what not but i am getting more hook from the balls than i used to

Wow man, I was seriously asking a simple question. I had no intentions of disrespecting anyone. I was just pointing out man, that most bowlers are not into the technical and drilling aspects of the game. I know most everything on my balls because I helped drill them and lay them out.

I would say this drilling sheet is a generic sheet for all Track balls. I cant seem to find the word Phoenix anywhere in that sheet? Could it be the Phoenix is like all the other Track balls?

That drill sheet was provided by going to Track's website, selecting the Phoenix and the link was on the page featuring the Phoenix.

It looks like a generic drill sheet, but that is what Track recommends for the ball.  You were looking for their drill sheet, here it is.  Take it for what its worth.
