Random Thoughts From A Track Supporter
« on: August 08, 2005, 01:47:51 AM »
I have been noticing quite a few things as far as the Track is concerned, now this only being dotted down in this new thread because of my experiences, everyone elses may vary from my opinion so please if anything comes off personal, my apologies up front.

* Reading threads about Track putting out way too many bowling balls this year...I have noticed that myself, but I believe they are producing bowling balls for a diversity of bowlers, this is a good thing!

* Mo Pinel thread I read on here was absolutely hilarious and stupid in the same way. Hilarious because the guy talking about Mo picking his nose and having to shake his hand and washing his hands afterwards, this cracked me up! The stupid side, if he was commenting about Track and some people believe he was, I really do not care about the spin determinator time or whatever that is, all I care about is if the ball does well for me!

* I had my second X-Ception 5.0 drilled friday, Stacked Leverage 3 3/8" Pin with a weight hole, same layout on my Rule and original X-Ception. I don't get it...even though I have not thrown it long, why do I have such a bad feeling about this ball not performing the way I want it to?

* The Track Revolution is underway and in full swing, congrats to Rick being voted in as the President.

* To the people converting to Track, I say "Welcome" and I hope you enjoy throwing what Track has to offer...

* 7/24/05 -- X-Ception -- 300/800, nuff said! Great ball! Sorry I had to throw that in, it was my first 800 series, I may never see that score again!

Well God Bless and until next time...get on the FASTTrack to success!

Great post Mike,

What I enjoy the most about Track is the support we get here in the forums. The people that use the Forums on BR are just a tiny fraction of the bowling community. I think that we the users at BR in general are fortunate to have a site to share our experiences and offer advice. Hats off to Scott Scriver for developing a great site. I'm glad to have the lending ears of many Track Staffers and Track users here on this forum on a daily basis. For that, I thank you all.

While I was in college, I dabbled in a tournament club where consequently I met Rick Leong. I stopped bowling in this club around 2000. I haven't seen Rick since then, but I noticed his name in the BR forums. This is where I found him. We reunited last October when I told him that I would visit him in his shop. I was looking for a change and Rick helped me with my grip a bunch. We talked about the game, industry, layouts, etc. The one thing that I respect about Rick a bunch is that he listens to his customers and also has an open mind. Glad I made the change.

My arsenal now consists of the following Track Bowling Balls
Floods *Early Roll - GP2

Medium Heavy *Early Roll - Animal

Most Mediums & Benchmark Ball *Arc - Slash

(I mention a 5.5 x 3.25mb but I actually meant 5.5 x 3.25cg, sorry for the confusion!)

Here are a few future purchases for Gaps I need to fill in my Arsenal
Medium Heavy *Strong Arc - X5.0, Arsenal Reactive, or Delta
Light-Medium *Arc - Heat
Burnt-Light *Arc - Desert Heat

Experiences with Track Balls so far (Since April 2005)
I've had the GP2 and Animal since April and have about 50 games on each of these balls. After using the GP2 a lot early on, I realized that this ball has really been condition specific for me. Considering the Strong Layout plays a big part of it. The Animal has been a different story. This ball has really shined on most Medium-Heavy shots and also bailed me out on some Reverse-Block and Sport condition type patterns. Thanks to Clint Daley for providing a great ball! I've also had a Slash for about a month now. I now have a first ball out of the bag as a benchmark ball. I've got about 20 games on this ball and needless to say, it's performed great on most league house patterns.

I wish everyone luck with their Track equipment and give the advice to take advantage of the great support we have from Staffers and users alike here on BallReviews.com

Regards,
Ram
