Crunch Time drilling - What to expect
« on: February 01, 2006, 02:33:04 PM »
I bought a used Crunch Time off Ebay (Seller was Charlie Tapp), and this is how it is drilled (there is a weight hole, not sure if you can see it, it is across from the thumb):

If I leave the drilling the same and just change the fit, what type of reaction should I expect?

Buck,

It really depends so much on your style and your game.

Generically speaking it should be pretty smooth...early reving. I would expect it to backend pretty well even though it is an earlier rolling type layout...simply because of how I know the CrunchTime moves.

Goodluck with the ball,

Thanks, Ex. If you had a recommendation of how to get the best reaction due to the characteristics of the ball, how would you drill it?

Buck,

I would try the layout that is on it. Make sure you ball driller checks to make sure that you will not flare over the weighthole.

The CrunchTime wanted to roll pretty good....and backend on its own.

I think it is worth the dry the way it is. If you don't like what you get or get something totally different from what you expected then change it.

Characteristics of the CrunchTime are pretty basic: It wants to roll because of the core.....and the blended coverstock....but it still backends NICELY due to the core and coverstock.

It is definately one of my favorites. I currently have on drilled up with the Rico Layout and I really like it.

Thanks! I have a Slash that is drilled label and polished, and it gives my a smooth reaction. How does the CT compare? I know they have the same core.

The Slash wants to roll even sooner....but the CT has much more backend in my opinion
