I just ordered my son a 15# 706A, and surprisingly it is on clearance at bowlersdeals. For those that have thrown it, are you still throwing it?  Loving it or not, good or a turd? 
I want to give it to my son when it gets here, but he's being a jack hole, so I'm probably going to keep it for myself, or  leave it on my counter and torture him.
What's your experience with this ball? 

I used mine for the first time last night, and WOW that ball is Real Nice! Little too much ball for the shot and also operator error kept me from doing more but the shots that I did get to roll well were so continuous through the pocket. I know all balls hit hard but this ball punishes pins, such a different motion through the pins. So far I like it but more testing to do. Hope this helps.

Thank guys, good to hear honest opinions. Deadwood, I decided that my son lost the ball and I gained it.  The wife agrees with me too, so hopefully he learns a valuable lesson and enjoys watching me throw "his" ball! 

drilled mine last week.have only thrown 6 games.once was three days of no reoil.the other day not the right house shot.oil machine broke nobody knows what pattern.juries not out yet.moves nice and smooth.we drilled for a smooth cont. hook.even if its not that good.its still not that bad because its a track ball.how can you go wrong.21 track balls and counting.11 other companies and three hammer.i must say for me the a series seems to work better.couple more weeks and i will give you a better report.
how is it possible thast the 706a is on sale somewhere all ready.

I'm assuming they are based out of one of the area's that had the bowling super show, because that is the only way I can see them getting that good of a price on those balls. Most of their equipment is the same price as buddies, but you are right a few balls are much cheaper.

I had it drilled to go long with a more controlled backend, and it does go long, and the move on the backend is incredible!  This ball makes me move in a bit more than my usual, but once I get lined up, man, it rolls so nice and hits very hard. This ball is a winner!

I just drilled up a 706A on on Saturday, 60 x 5 x 50, puts the pin above the bridge and the mass bias about an inch and a half right of the thumb.  Gives me great length with a smooth arc.  I have found the "A" series balls to be real archy.  I can't complain at all, I'm definitely a fan.

I drilled one 65x5x40. Pin over ring finger.

Depending on your ball speed, this ball's coverstock is cleaner than you think. You can interpret that any way you want. It can be good or bad depending on what your needs are.

You can see the core working hard, but the shell is clean. I decided to knock off the box polish, bring it down to 500/1000/4000/4000 instead. This seemed to reduce the squirtiness of the polish and let me see more the midlane instead. Despite the added texture to the surface now, it's still really clean through the front of the lane.

My original thoughts were that this ball goes really long (maybe too long), yet it's still capable of covering a lot of boards. I can see this helpful when the end of a very oily pattern starts to deteriorate, and I wouldn't want to open up angles up too much yet before shelling up and taking a step in.
