Of the new releases....
« on: July 23, 2007, 03:22:52 PM »
Which are you most excited about?

The Temper, Kinetic and Rising all have their place. I think the versatility of the Rising is going to shock alot of people. The strength of the breakpoint on the Kinetic is mind boggling! You have to see it to believe it. The Temper is a benchmark type ball. Those of you that liked the Havoc should end up liking this ball....it is rolls like the Havoc but retains energy down lane better.

By the time The Rising comes out, I'll brobably have a whole new arsenal in my bag. I will be picking up both balls from C300 and possibly the NVS (my very first Ebonite ball). I will wait and see a whole bunch of people posting there thoughs for the Rising before I decide to pick one up!

i'm serriously looking at "the rising". my mean and my gp2 are not strong enough on the backend, when there is long oil, ive already had the gp2 redrilled once, so i may get the rising and have it drilled especially for long oil.

Im excited about The Rising and the Kinetic!!! I need something for long heavy oil for pba experience/ sport shot leagues and tournaments. And i just want to see this hook on the Kinetic. But will the Kinetic replace anything in my current arsenal like my Power Machine or Equation?

In comparison, not taking anything away from the One (very good ball by Ebonite), our Kinetic can handle more oil and offers more overall movement with a very strong backend reaction.

The Rising is closest to __________ from the old line.

Ans: Nothing we've ever had...  I had asked Del several times for a strong resin for heavy oil but we were working more with particles then. When I got to Kentucky, R&D already had this designed and I thanked them so much for it.  I've felt for over a year now that we needed a strong dull solid resin piece in our line.

Okay I'll try, imagine the oil handling of more then a Robo Rule but with even greater continuation....how's that for "wow".

All of you that have been around here for awhile know how much I really liked the Power Machine....primarily due to its ability to recover from almost anywhere. The Kinetic is stronger at the breakpoint. I think it can replace the Equation and the Power....depending on layout.

With all do respect to The One....the Kinetic is stronger and more angular. The way it reads the breakpoint is unlike anything I have seen.

Though not anywhere close in core design to the Animal, but I know some people like Chitown were wanting an Animal with a reactive coverstock. Their prayers finally answered in the form of the Rising, huh Prez?

This is probably a good comparison because this ball can roll like the Animal but retain energy better. I like Rick's statement about the Robo. The drilling options on the Rising will make it much more versatile than the Animal. The Animal was a big favorite of mine....but the Rising will be much more playable on different surfaces.

So far the Kinetic and Rising are getting all of the "air time", the tag team feels the same way about the new stuff.

I'm looking forward to all of them. Unfortunately with me moving from 16 to 15lbs I started using another companies equipment and I'm getting very comfortable with it. When all of the new equipment is released and I see how they roll I can begin to buy the balls that fit my game.

I must admit it doesn't feel right throwing something other than Track. I hope the new stuff works out so I can come back to Track with a full arsenal.

I want the Temper, the thought of having a ball like the havoc again is something I have been missing. The rising sounds like it will be a must have pick up because of the many mnay options in on lane reactions you could have.

Well, I've the Power and Mean (both polished and similarly drilled).  The Mean is by far the more aggressive of the two.  Due to my strong inverted release and loft, I favor polished, skid flip reaction balls.  That being said, the Kinetic would be probably suit me better.  I also favor 'pin-out' balls as well.

One question...

if (Heaven forbid ) Ebonite decides to conform to 'pin-in' balls, what type of drill would yield the reaction I'm accustomed to?

One more thing... the Kinetic being the 'upper-tier' ball, will the cost be around 'Lane #1/LaneMasters' pricing?  (i.e. having 'Action Jackson - Lane #1 flashbacks ... )

Rising for sure, although I don't like the color at all. Kinetic is pretty interesting too, by knowing how Carl loves his Power Machine.

None of them really. I will stick to rolling my Storm equipment. If I drill anything new from the new Ebonite equipment, it will probably be the Resurgance from Columbia.
