Too old
« on: March 02, 2007, 01:53:47 PM »
I used to bowl competitively and seriously 4years ago. Quick snapshot, the voodoo was my newest acquisition and was one of tracks latest. My silencer was getting old. Everybody had some sort of storm ball. I have found somebody with a nib 15lb track money. My friends say i shouldn't buy a ball with an "old" coverstock and core. Anybody agree or disagree? Im buying the damn ball anyway, lol. Always wanted a money.

The Money was a very good ball. If the price is right.....get it!

I second that.  I just picked up a Brunswick High Diff. X Zone and it's fitting in the spot I intended my Toxic to fill much better than the Toxic does.

Hey sdot,

Good that you're getting it, it is a very good piece (I still have 1 plus 1 NIB).  If memory serves me correctly (which is getting worse by the minute), it has the Bigfoot particle cover which works well on our med/heavy to heavy conditions (dependent upon your style).  Shot my highest 9 game set in Nats with this piece back in Knoxville.  Let us know if you need help with a layout.  We're here to help, thanks.

Not sure what layout im gonna go with. It will be a moderate to aggressive drill since I need it to be stronger than my 44 mag, silencer(drilled to go long), and voodoo. You own one and have another nib tenpinspro? If you would like to part with that nib piece let me know, I have a friend who is also trying to get some of the older track stuff.

Go for it.  There is nothing wrong with using old equipment.  2 of my favorite balls are older equipment (Orginial Inferno and Trition Heat) and they both work great on todays conditions.
