OK...need help.
« on: September 11, 2005, 12:58:24 PM »
Bowling on a dry shot this year for league, changed houses, synthtics, and I need somthing to get threw the heads, then absolutly die on the backend. What ball with what layout? Tried quite a few already, solution pearl with the pin above the middle finger, cg in the span no hole. Solid solution, but its drilled too strong, crash with the pin really high and above the bridge, xception pin over the bridge, 5.0 drilled too strong, heat drilled like the solution, but pin not as high, heat drilled too strong, heat drilled with a pin in the palm, cg low. Desert drilled 0 degree, slash drilled 0 degree, just too much early hook and didn't bleed off enough energy. All did the same thing..too much hook in the middle of the lane, too much backend if i fed it to the oil on the outside. If anyone remembers the layout doug kent used on a warrior in an older show, do you think somthing like that would work on say a solution, or heat, or ...? Thanks for the help

drill your desert with a 135 degree to give you a little hold and length. A 0 degree is designed for early hook. Or you could try a 6-6.5 to PAP drilling to take out the flare

Hey great one,

How you doing man?  How about a 1x1 on a Desert or whatever surface you need to handle some of the head oil.  That should turn over and straighten out pretty well.

looking into the idea of the 135 degree. Kinda scared to use it on somthing that weak, looking towards a solution if somthing like that. Also, a 4 pin drilled lable, with a hole right in the span. skid through the heads, hook or rev up in the midlane, and completely die when it gets to the backend is what i want this ball to do. I'll look into the 1x1 and report back shortly on it.

Hey great one,

I meant to tell you to maybe try a 2x2 for you since you have quite a bit of turn.  The 1x1 may be too close for you, I really meant to say something along those lines.  Sorry for any confusion......
