One of my best nights...Heat Blast/Equation
« on: November 30, 2006, 07:33:07 PM »
Hello all,

Again, nothing really impressive by many of your standards, but tonight I just felt somewhat unstoppable.  232-210-198 series which one of my best so far. I started off with the Heat Blast, opening with a split in the first then getting a turkey, then another split and finishing clean with a 4 bagger and some change.  2nd game, opened with a split again, then 5 bagger, split, then strikes and spares the rest of the way.

Opened with 2 brooklyns then two splits in the third game, tried to make an adjustment with the Heat Blast but it wouldnt recover from the inside.  Switched to the Equation and should have ended with 7 in a row, but in the 10th was robbed with a pocket 6 on the first ball, and ringing 7 on the last ball.  That 700 is looking closer and closer!

Heat Blast - Pin over bridge stacked (bowled up 5 arrow)
Equation - Pin over ring and CG kicked (swung 15-10)

Once again, thanks Track for great equipment!  Hopefully under the direction of Phil, everything will just get better.

Nice shooting Noy!  You will have that 700 soon.  I just got the Equation recently and I love it!  In a word, WOW!!!

Thanks dDrill!  The center just changed the oil wicks on their oil machine, so all of the intended oil that was programmed to be put out (albeit still a house shot) is being put down.  We no longer have the spotty flying backends at 40ft, instead, everything is a lot more smooth and consistent.  I got used to it fast, but others in the league didnt fair so well the first couple of games =)  I even won a little bit of side pot for my first game (which I've been doing a lot more lately).

I now leave my black widow and pain at home.  I have my Heat Blast, Equation, and Mean Machine in my bag now.  Hopefully I'll be able to switch out that Mean for a Power soon.

Haha, sorry, just gotta post this now...

Went out today with my dad to practice, using only the Heat Blast, 257-205-173 for a 635 series.  2nd straight series in a second straight outing, something I havent done before.  The last game was kind of a spoof as I kept pulling the ball for some reason.  Had a chance at another 200 game in the third but was left with a pocket 6 in the 10th after being plaggued by two splits in the 6th and 7th.

Nice shooting there Noy!  How do you have your Heat Blast drilled?  Keep up the good series.

I don't have the Heat Blast, but I do have the Equation and the Desert Heat.  I bowled cosmic bowling after league last night and started out with the Equation.  I went 203-227-267, then switched to the Desert Heat and threw a 255.  I've had the Tropical Storm, but the Desert Heat is BY FAR the best dry lane ball I've ever owned.

Hey dDrill,

My Heat Blast is drilled straight up and down, stacked, with pin over the bridge.  This gives me a nice and smooth out side shot.  My Equation is drilled with pin above ring and CG kicked out a little, and my Heat Blast doesn't have nearly as much pop on the back end as my Equation, but thats exactly what I wanted.

I was having a tough time with the flying backends at my local house, so i decided to pick up something weaker with a tame drill.

Big thanks to DukeHarding for giving me an awesome deal on a 3 game, mint condition Heat Blast and KP's Pro Shop for teaching me how to drill and letting me drill it for free.
