Vids from Corpus Christi
« on: June 09, 2006, 09:45:59 AM »
Okay guys, for those who are interested…..here are some vids from the Nationals this year at Corpus Christi.

First vid is team event where the oil was what I define as a med/med condition.  Bowl on heavier oil at home but the centers were definitely drier then 10 out.  I was fluffing my Robo for this because if I hit the ball, it jumped and if I went to a weaker cover, it didn’t read the midlane in the track area strong enough.

The next vid is the singles event showing where I started and how dry the center of the lane was and what I had to move to get to the pocket.  I was throwing my Machine for these shots.

This next vid is a single shot showing the out of bounds during team.  I know guys had said they were playing out but it wasn’t there when we went or I could’ve made this ball bend back.

The next couple of vids are for fun guys…he’s a BR member.  I said this is what Popeye would look like bowling!..lol

Rick, what are you worried about?  The tree is now a shrub!  You guys should be tested for roids, uric acid, etc.

Thought I'd try putting up a few shots from my team event.  I'm the big guy wearing the all white shirt.  I was throwing my Machine and these are from the end of game one and a couple of shots from game two.  This is my first attempt at using any kind of video editing on my computer, so sorry if it isn't that great.  And yes, I did almost run over that dude in the wheelchair.

And FYI, no blowing the pair open for us.  I was able to create some pretty sick recovery with the Machine, didn't have tug but I had some swing area.

Looks good Jon,

My outsides were a bit heavier in team.  I had a couple of guys who turn it pretty decent (like you) but they couldn't swing the outsides as freely as I see your reaction.

That reaction looked more like our dbls and singles events.  That's when I was also able to open up the backends some if I hit it.  I also got what you did, there was no tug at all....thanks for the vids.

I was MUCH deeper in singles and doubles.  I eventually changed to my Xception5.0 at the end of my second game in team and threw it for all 6-games in doubles and singles.  I ended up barely lofting the left gutter, playing a line crossing the arrows at about 26-27 with my breakpoint at about 12-13.  I was not going away from the pocket nearly as much as I was in the video later on.  My focal point from the left gutter was the 10-pin.  It really wasn't much different than what you were playing Rick, but I was playing a little more of a fallback shot.
