The 3 Machines
« on: December 17, 2006, 10:48:39 PM »
Hey, I haven't bought a Track ball since the original Phenom.
I had some luck w/ the Voodoo and Mutant back in the day, but
felt let down w/ the Phenom's performance.

I'm thinking about giving Track another try since I've been hearing
some good stuff about all of the Machine balls.
I'm considering the Power Machine since it seems to be advertised
as the most angular, and that's what I'm looking for is a ball w/
a tad more backend move.
Is the Power machine still usable in some heavy stuff, or is the Mean
Machine more suited for that condition???

Thanks for any answers

Hey clint191,

The Power is exactly what you've heard and think it is.  It is a very piece designed for med/heavy oil which gets down lane cleanly and has a very strong backend reaction.

To utilize this ball in heavy oil, you'd have to take the coverstock down some because it is 3000 grit compound.  My Mean hooks a little sooner compared to my Power (both tested at OOB).  Hope this helps some...
