Polished Animal?
« on: December 05, 2005, 12:45:34 PM »
Has anyone polished the Animal?  How would it react if it is layed out 3 3/8"
pin from my PAP with the MB to the right and down a little from the thumb?  Would this work for medium oil?

That is a very strong drill on a very strong ball. Polishing will make it get down the lane better, but you may be better suited to drilling the ball a tisker or more weaker as well.

I do not have any money right now.  I have an Ebonite Xxxcel coming (Out of Box), the Animal (Out of Box), and a Brunswick Power Groove Teal/Purple Sanded (400 grit).  Power Groove starts too early, but doesn't have the backend on medium conditions that th Animal does.

Yes the Animal can work on med oil if polished with magic shine.  Even with a strong layout.  The cover on the animal is very versatile. The only thing with it drilled strong you may have to play deep from the start depending on your style.
