Well guys after much thought and trying many different balls I have set myself up a great 4 ball arsenal for the rest of the season. Most of you guys will disagree with my approach but it works for me. Well this is my 4 ball arsenal for the rest of the season.
Heavy oil: Delta 1 (800 grit) pin under ring about 4.5" to pap, MB close to VAL.
Med heavy: Delta 1 (magic shine polish) Pin above ring about 4.25" to pap, MB 1" right of thumb.
Med oil: Arsenal angular (magic shine) Pin above ring about 4.25" to pap with CG kicked right to 2oz then brought back to legal 1oz with a x-hole below my pap.
Light/dry: Arsenal angular (soon to be polished with delayed reaction) Pin about 5.5" above the bridge, CG kicked right to 3/4 oz no x-hole.
Now I know a lot of you guys will say how can you bowl on dry with the arsenal angular. Well I can change my hand positions fairly good and can take off a lot of revs and roll with very fast ball speed. That's how. I also don't come across many toasted conditions so as long as there is some light oil around it will work. Plus the angular can be sent way out and have no problem getting it to come back.
I choose these two balls to do this with because I love how versatile they are. I have two strong arc balls and two flip balls. I also choose the angulars because of how hard they hit and how well they work on tough patterns. This is one of the most underrated balls I have ever seen. I know there is a lot of great talk about the angular on this site but this ball isn't talked about elsewhere like it should be.
The Delta 1's that I have are very different from each other. The one that is polished really has a huge backend and great length for med/heavy. The dull one handles a ton of oil and has been put to the test last week when my league put out a heavy long oiled shot from hell. This ball worked great and the polished one slid too much. Great separation from this arsenal with the Delta 1's and Angulars.
Well there it is guys. This is my awesome Track arsenal for the rest of this season. Two awesome balls from Track. The only question I have is how good is delayed reaction polish? Also what do you guys think about my approach?
