I've been asked to sub for a friend in a PBA Experience league who is injured. I am excited as I wanted to try something like this and planned on doing so next year. I am concerned for a couple of reasons: One my game is not at all where I want it to be. Secondly, I have not drilled anything up as of yet from storage.

I guess I will have to look at what I have drilled and tweak the surfaces.  All my stuff is older, but I maintained the covers all along and they're all still very much "alive."

I know my pin under the fingers Animal should work. That ball does me no good on the THS.

The Freak Out is a monster for me. On the THS I am playing from 25-30 approach ad swinging the ball from the area of 15-20 out to the track area and beyond.  I can see me playing that down and in. I've used it that way when the shot allows. I have a Mutant drilled the same way. That ball will need a surface tweak.

I guess I will see what this is all about. I am not in a position to drill up anything such as my Phoenix and any of my Machines until July. Would love to set up a Power Machine and a Mean Machine for these shots.

I'll take it a week at a time. I have no idea on what the pattern will be on Wednesday. I can call on Tuesday to find out.

Currently stocking up on the last of the Track San Antonio products to be drilled at a later date

I bowled chameleon last week, and it really surprised me. I thought there would be more backend than the scorpion being a shorter pattern and all, but I found that they played much tighter. Even with the clean backends, most of us were only getting 5-7 boards of movement with our strong stuff. I've seen the pba when they bowl on this pattern, and they seem to have some area, but we did not. My freak seemed to do the best throwing straight up 8 or 9.

The backends are touchy if you pull the ball by a board, but if you miss out a board we couldn't get the ball to come back. Usually a washout.
