I need a med-heavy to heavy oil ball and was wandering if the power machine can handle some heavy oil.
-
Medium-heavy maybe, it will depend on exactly what the pattern is and it will also depend on you. Heavy oil, you need a ball with some surface on it like the Robo or Mean Machine.
-
Go with the Mean Machine for heavier oil...you will not be disappointed.

I believe that the the Machine would fit below the Power Machine due to the backend of the PM. Overall the Machine might actually be a bit stronger but in a arcy kind of way. It is a good ball for medium oil conditions. You can pull it and hug the oil line, or you can swing it easily. It's a great bowling ball. OH...and it's not that ugly. The GP2 and Robo Rule are worse as is the Arsenal Artillery. But all work fine so....who cares about the color. At least someone isn't likely to steel it!

I have 3 Powers....the stronger drilled one is on its way to being set up with 2000 MAYBE 1000 Abralon to get an idea of how much oil it can handle.

when it comes to the power machine, id say medium heavy at best and thats with a surface adjustment
this cover just has that natural tendancy to push down lane even when drilled aggressive, which is great because the ball retains a TON of energy for the backend...but not great for oil
i even hit mine with a green pad to see what it would do, got the same amount of boards covered but just in more of an arc fashion...so i took it back to box!

I's also say that the Power is more of a Med-heavy (as Bar stated). Scorchin Inferno or Centaur AMB are 2 of the strongest balls out for heavy right now IMHO.
