Adrian decided to do a bit more tinkering this week. The Phenom has been sitting around for a while so it was time for it to start earning its keep again. I'd changed it from its original drill(pin under bridge, flippy mb) to Pin outside ring mb in the Track looking for a smoother ball. All i got for the most part was a too early reaction with a backend move that didnt thrill me at all. So back to the shop for drill no.3(as a lot of my stuff does) Put the pin back under the ring finger and swung the mb right onto my VAL. Now this is the look i wanted all along, good length considering the strong shell with smooth transition compared to the flip mb placement. No worries about covering lots of boards too, and this time i've got a much better idea of where its going to wind up at the pins.

Quick update on the Machine and Artillery. Threw some 10th frame inserts when they arrived just so i could get them into play quickly. These inserts arent a good choice for me with strong stuff like this(ok on my old stuff which you need to get stuck into to get some good reactions from them), need to get the fingers out a little smoother than they allow me too which should fix the inconsistent looks i'm getting. Now my Turbo grips have arrived its a set each for them, plus one already in the Phenom and one left over waiting for the Desert Heat. Messing with the idea of putting the pin under bridge/kicked out cg layout on the Artillery but it'll prob cause overlaps with other stuff. Prob best i leave it alone, the grip change should help me get out of it smoother and cure its occasional habit of jumping a hair too sharp. The Machine i'm still getting used to, should have a better feel on it thru the swing with the turbo inserts which is vital for someone like me whose game is based around feel.
