Goo LS coverstock durability problem?
« on: September 28, 2006, 03:49:05 AM »
Hey guys, I'm curious if any of you who use a Track ball with the Goo LS coverstock have had issues with it not being very durable?  I currently have 3 balls with it - the Equation, the Delta, and the Xception.  I've noticed over time that each of these balls have been susceptible to scrapes, "shavings", or burn marks.  In one night last week, my Equation endured 4 "shavings" off the cover and what I mean is that it's like someone took a blade and carved a layer off the ball.  I've had similiar instances with the Delta and the Xception.  I have not seen this issue with other Track balls with different coverstocks, so it's making me wonder.  Any of you have similar experiences?

I think its more a problem with house conditions than it is the cover.  There's one house that I bowl in where if I happen to gutter, I know I'm gonna get some type of dent or chisel in my ball.  It just gives me more reason not to throw it in there though =)

I guess it could just be the lanes I'm bowling on, but I swear, on that pair I was on during league, only my ball got those scrapes.  No one else on that pair (7 others) had scrapes like that.  I must have hit whatever it was 4 times then.  What are the odds of that and no one else hitting it?  Lucky me
