Machine Drilling
« on: May 03, 2006, 02:13:01 AM »
I got my NIB Machine yesterday and I am debating on how to drill it up. I want to replace both my Xception 5.0 and Mutant Mania with it. Both of those balls were similar. So, I was thinking of pin under ring, mb near VAL. This would get me an early rolling ball for med/hvy conditions. What do you guys think?

I believe you are thinking right on there with that drilling. The mass bias being kicked will help the ball start up, the pin below finger line will also let the ball start up, but the pearl and Goo Ls will help it get down the lane...sounds pretty darn close to what you are looking for.

Hey Rock,

Be careful with the mb placement of the Machine.  Placing this mb in the identical "distance" that it exists on your other equipment may result in a different reaction shape or breakpoint. It has a much stronger mass bias strength (.025) compared to the 5.0 (.014) and your Mutant Mania, therefore it may have a different effect, understand?  My only concern is that placing the Machine's mb in the same location as your other balls may not yield the same backend strength you're accustomed to or looking for.  PM me bud and I'll help you out....
