Title: Pure Approach Clinic....

Everything went great...I was drilling from around noon till 930.....total of 35 drilled balls and 4 blanks, for a total of 39 balls out the door and had a total of 40 participants today between the 2 sessions. And that doesn't include the 10 AMF balls I am drilling bar5003 tomorrow morning!

A big thank you to all the ballreviews members who came down today, and a VERY BIG THANKS to Carl Hurd (cgproshop) Ken Reitz (kreitz) and Mark (cgproshopscoot) for helping out in the shop...

No problem clint, I know for myself I would have much liked to have stayed and helped out longer but me and carl had to go up to west side witch really bite a big one. LOL.

Unfortunately, no. I was just so busy....the 2nd shift was over at 6 and I didn't get done with everyone till almost 930....it was unreal...

I was the last one out of the building. All in all a very good day, I learned a lot. I gotta practice a lot, and break some old habits. Got me a Mean Machine and I'll try it out in the morning. Clint, good job, and, after a day like today, you really should take a few days off!!

I must say Clint with your recent injury I am quite impressed that you where able to get that many balls drilled in one day.  Congrats.  Now if Track would hold a clinic out here is Boise I would be happy.  I'd probably be the first one to sign up.  Probably wouldn't happen since I am about 300 mile away from Odgen, Utah (place where Storm manufactors there equipment.) I guess I am too much in Storm Country sigh, oh well.  Glad to hear everything when well.

Thanks for the compliment, however, I owe lots to the ones I mentioned earlier and everyone being VERY calm waiting for their turn to get their ball drilled....it was a great experience and on a big note, Del has agreed to come back next year for a clinic!!!!!!

Hey Guys, just wanted to reiterate what Clint said about everyone being PATIENT! I don't think i've ever seen that many people wait for something and not get upset about waiting! I was trying to help Clint out after Carl left and people were really patient with me when Clint left the drill press to do other things( sorry, guys that i couldn't step in and keep the press running while Clint was gone! Maybe next year!)It was also nice to be able to finally meet some fellow Track enthusiasts! Hope to see you all next time!

I just wanna thank Clint, Del, and Mike for putting on an awesome clinic....the classroom session was VERY good and the on the lanes work was great also

A VERY BIG THANK YOU again to Clint also for punching up all 10 of my balls this morning...we had quite the production line going lol

Everyone be on the lookout in the AMF forum...pictures will be up of all of them tomorrow...followed by videos in the VERY near future

YEP.....1 1/4 in diameter, 3 inches deep and we still had 3/4 side....UNREAL!

hey britton, just don't take that to usbc nationals! They would probably try to plug and redrill it!! The hole will probably be TOO BIG!

Never understood why the PBA allowed balance holes of 1 3/8 to be used, but yet, if U come home to league and use that ball, I would be violating a rule since USBC only allows 1 1/4 balance hole to be used....I guess its along the lines of being able to sand half a ball on the PBA but in non PBA comp the entire ball must be the same surface.

i agree ken...they are very picky sometimes at nationals...it is LEGAL but they may put up a fight!

one of the ongoing problems in bowling clint...you have our PBA "the best in the world" a PROFESSIONAL organization which doesn't even follow the rules set down by our national sanctioning body the USBC...how does that work?!?

bowlersdream; if you drill a 1 1/4" hole in a ball, depending on the type coverstock being drilled, it might be oversized because of the heating and cooling characteristics of that coverstock!Also,everyone's 1 1/4" bits are really all different sizes depending on the machining tolerances used! If you can get a way with it, always use  a bit smaller than 1 1/4" for balance holes, especially on balls that are to be taken to the USBC National tourney!
