Question....
« on: November 17, 2007, 02:27:01 PM »
I have a KINETIC, EQUATION2, and an undrilled INERTIA, also a MoRich ARCHON

I will drill the INERTIA for heavier oil patterns.
I've been looking at the RISING, and the TEMPER probably will pass on the RISING and buy the TEMPER, instead.

INERTIA (Med. Heavy-Heavy Oil)
KINETIC (Med.-Med. Heavy Oil)
TEMPER (Med. Oil)
ARCHON (Lt. Med.-Med.  Oil)
EQUATION (Lt. Oil)

What do you guys think . . .

Equation def will need a weak drilling used on of those and its just flat out moves on medium stuff. The inertia, ive only seen but it wasn't impressive by no means and don't know if it will do much good in the heavy stuff, surface will probably need lots of adjustment with a good rolling type layout. Other then that looks good.

Yea the Inertia wasnt a very good release from Track. IMO the ball was a flop and wouldn't even consider it for a heavy oil ball. The Temper is a sleeper. It hooks almost as much as the Kinetic which is a flat out monster. The new veneers/covers on the Track equipment are very very strong. I wouldnt pass up on the Rising or the Temper if I were you. I would start with Rising for heavy and then go Kinetic to Archon to EQ2. If you got the extra cash toss in a Temper. You won't be let down by the new track stuff.

I have to disagree, the Inertia was a sleeper. Alot of people tryed to make the Inertia a skid flip ball. I love mine and with the surface taken down this ball can handle oil well. The drilling I have on mine is very weak, and at 500 abralon it rolled when it was ment to go long. I have seen carl use one drilled srong and sanded and have it roll out on PBA shots. The Inertia was the sleeper ball of last year. The Equation is not going to be your lighter oil ball. The cover on it is just way to strong. I have the cover on mine at 4000 on a high speed spinner so it looks polished, then I have it polished with Delayed reaction. This thing is still a midlane beast. The drilling is a somewhat strong layout for me but with that cover prep it is still to strong. The Equation is in no way the weakest ball out of the ones you have.

I have to agree with Scoot, on the Inertia.

I've heard a lot of good thing about the ball, from people I trust.
I have 2, undrilled 15# Inertias, and 1 14# undrilled Inertia.

My Equation2 is 4000 grit Abralon w/ 2 coats of Beans Sauce on it.
I really long and strong. Use it as a spare ball, also.

I will drill up a TEMPER, and give it a try.

I have 2 15# Risings, LH drilled.

They aren't mine... one has 2-3 games(suggested pin in palm drilling), the other has NO games (pin an inch above ring finger, looks like the cover is lowered to 600 grit).

I was thinking of plugging the thumb on one and trying it.

I will eventually pick up a Rising in 14#.

I have to agree here that the Inertia is a much better ball than it got credit for.

I have one drilled with a 4.5" pin and 60 degree mass bias and sanded with 500 abralon.  It was my heavy oil ball until I got a Rising.

The Rising (with box finish) goes a little longer than the sanded Inertia, but the Rising is much stronger on the backend and it covers more total boards than the Inertia.

I really like my Rising, but I am not getting rid of the Inertia just yet.

All in all the inertia was a ball that most tournament, and only die hard track fans had. The ball was probly the most underrated ball last year. I love mine and when I get on a hard shot or just a confusing one, if I dont have it with me I wish I did.

I've got to agree in calling the Inertia a sleeper, not a dud.  Just because it didn't sell like a black widow doesn't mean anything.  That's a ball that made difficult shots easy for me, with a very dependable and predictable ball motion.  I could easily see messing with the surface a bit to make it work in heavier stuff.

Duke, make sure these guys know you're a wrong sider!    How do you like the Kinetic?

Ryan, you should see Rich roll that Kinetic.  It's like he's cheating!  That ball is money in the bank for him!

How's your game coming along Ryan?
