A ball is worth what someone will pay for it.

Transaction probably won't close, may be a shill <10 feedback 67% rating but I can't resist - must knock pins over all by itself. If the buyer is buying as an investment--recent history suggests they will lose $$, remember the Lane#1 Hybrid Megatons - only 250 made or something? After the frenzy died you could buy them for $180 nib on ebay...
-
Well, it depends on why you are buying the ball. If you are buying the ball to make money, you will probably lose out. If you are buying the ball because you want to use it, then you are paying for what you get.

Nothing wrong with a 5" pin. I have a TKO drilled pin up. Love it.

So who is feeding this stuff to you, Ken is an honest pro shop operator there is no way he pulled what you are suggesting. They even say how they got the balls in the ebay auction, theft is not one of the options.
I know all of these guys and they would never pull off something like this ever. Yes they are making a killing if the bid goes through, but do you really think there is someone that really will pay this much??? I will bet the ball gets relisted from a non payer we will see on that one.

I posted before that these guys didn't pay anything for these. They got the balls the same day that the company got shut down. They probably knew a guy on the inside. Sounds a little fishy if you ask me.

All this for a ball that, from what's posted in other threads wasn't up to ebonite quality which is what it's limited in the first place...wow.

It is the last REAL Track ball ever. I guess some people feel that is worth something. Different strokes and all that.

WOW...
If I had known this would happen, I would not have drilled mine.
It is a great ball, but I wouldn't pay that price for it.
I would rather see a real pro shop make money on a ball like this than see the online guys selling balls below many distributor prices though.
