There must be a lot of new releases coming...
« on: July 13, 2006, 08:27:11 AM »
So, the only balls Track has in their current line-up, correct me if I'm wrong, are Mean Machine, Robo, Machine, Arsenal Artillery, Heat Blast and Equation with the Inertia coming probably in August. So, there has to be at least three October/November releases and one or two in January if they release them as they have in the past. So, 7 or 8 new releases in 6 months by the look of things. The Robo is next in line to be discontinued, so I'll bet there's a new solid particle with a brand new core in there somewhere. If they fill their lines, there would be one high perf. assym; 2 high perf. symm and 2 in the the classic perf. line, so there would be 3 in each category. Just food for thought, looking forward to seeing what's next...

I have no info on new releases beyond the Inertia....but I will say this.

With Del back in charge you will not see nearly as much releases or balls current in a lineup that you did last year.

Agree with Carl...releases will be fewer with more shelf life for the current line. I don't know of anything past the Inertia either.....

I talked to RJ today in the shop, he claims no releases until December.

Time will tell!

So with Del running the show they will not make as many different balls?  Why is that?

I personally feel all of the company's make way too many balls each year.

I would say with Del, he cares about the "Bowlers", getting some thing they can USE.

You can bet there may be fewer balls, but it will be balls that most any one can use

pnj1967, I sure hope you are right with what you said here as there are several I can't use right now. Seems like the "oldies" like the Havoc, Heat, and such balls work best for me. To me it seems that Track keeps racing to make their balls stronger and stronger and etc. and with the lack of heavy oil in so many houses nowdays, the older weaker balls seems to work better for many bowlers than the newer "hook monsters". They do for me anyhow. And as Tyrone Shoelaces said,......"I would think that too many balls confuse the consumer, you get overlaps, and some balls that are really good get overshadowed by others and don't sell well." ..... That statement sums it up exactly.

In 2005 Track released Rule GP2 (Jan) Arsenal Angular & Arsenal Aggressive (Feb) Heat (Apr) Blue Heat, Desert Heat & Xception 5.0 (Jun) Arsenal Reactive (Aug) Soltion PP, Solution PPEX & Rule Delta 1 (Sep) Robo Rule (Dec) That's 12 new releases.
In 2004 Animal (Feb) Crash (Mar) Sheer Havoc (May) Rule, Freak A Zoid & Hex-plosion (Aug) Xception & Slash (Dec) That's 8 new releases, info from BJI. So maybe there won't be as many releases, but there has been a trend that before the new fall season there is always a new release with a new core/coverstock.
In 2002 the Freak, 2003 Phenom, 2004 Rule, 2005 Rule Delta 1, 2006 ???.
I can't see them eliminating the high perf. symmetrical line unless they were selling very poorly, but not in my area, especially the Angular. But you guys are in the know more than me.

I know this isn't possible, but I would like to see some Track cores in Storm's Monsoon and Acua-Tread covers and also in some of Legend's Diamond Particle covers.

I'm glad to see that somebody is cutting back on releases.  All manufacturers should follow this example.
