Re-release the animal.
« on: December 17, 2005, 04:49:47 AM »
Ater reading a lot of posts about bowlers stillwanting the Animal maybe Track can re-release this ball like they did with the heat.

The Animal is a great ball period.  This is why I really wanted to see this core with a reactive cover.  The animals mega fang cover is great as well and am surprised we didn't see it again.

Does anyone know why the animal didn't evolve into other balls like the Rule and xception did?

and it sucked, so they cut their losses at that!  BTW, the Untamed was a reactive cover...don't know which, but it was. And no, I'm not bashing, the ball just sucked in this area...

...each to his own...

The Animal is probably the hardest hitting ball (or so it seemed) that I've ever used.  A green-pad to it and it could handle all the oil I'll ever see.  I've left it dull and use it when I need to (which has been never since March).  The Animal rolls extremely hard in the midlane for me when there's enough oil in the heads.  It doesn't go from gutter to gutter, but it gets the job done when other stuff is sliding too far.

I love my Animal.

Exactly.. just commenting on what I saw in my area.. I also had both balls and didn't like either one but thats just me.. I just don't see Track re-releasing the Animal.. To many other heavy balls in their lineup..

I love the Animal! Like someone else has already stated, Take a green pad to it and it will handle any kind of heavy oil and it hits harder than almost anything! I like the GP2 but, I think the Animal with a green pad to it is alot better in heavy oil than a GP2 with the same surface prep or any surface prep. The only beef I have with it is the color. Why did Track decide on that color combo????? I bet if it was a different color it would have been far more successful!!!

Only saw one in my house used by someone who didn't know to use it on floods. He didn't understand why it kept burning up.........

I don't recall anyone in my house with an Animal, except me. The Animal Untamed is very popular. More popular than the Inferno.

The animal untamed wasn't at all like the animal.  It also wasn't a reactive animal either.  The core was completely different.

I agree the animal can handle a ton of oil with a dull surface(green scotchbrite).  Also the animal for me was THE hardest hitting ball I ever owned.  Very versatile.  The color didn't do it justice.  I think your right; a different color combo would have helped it sell better.

I doubt they will re-release the Animal, especially with other particles that can handle just as much/more oil than the Animal, ie GP2, Robo, Aggressive, and Blue Heat.

Maybe a few years downt he road, but not this quick, unfortunately.

I haven't thrown a blue heat.  Do you actually think that it can out hook the animal on heavy oil?  I'm talking both balls with the same grit cover.

The aggressive can't out hook the Animal on heavy oil with the same grit cover.

Do I think it can outhook the Animal or GP2 or even the Robo....no, but the Blue MOVES for a mid price ball...it is just below the Aggressive. The Blue is the most hook your average bowler needs!
