Well, although I did not get to throw them (alley is closed all but Friday and Saturday till the end of August) and considering it was 11:30 at nite, but hey, at least they are in my bag now. My first Meanie I drilled a month ago is pin 1 3/8 above midline, pin just below fingers, mass bias at 4 oclock about 2 inches from VAL, extra hole on PAP...factiry surface...I am just raving about the way this drill works on this ball...
The 2 Meanies I drilled last nite are as follows: (both have factory surface for now)
1. Pin 2 inches above mid, about 4 1/2 from PAP (beside and even with ring), cg uin the palm, mass bias left of thumb in my track...this is my old favorite drill I still throw on a few balls here and there... looking for something a little more delayed down the lane..I think the mass bias in my track will help me out in this case...
2. Pin 2 inches above mid (even with fingers) but only 1 inch from my PAP...cg is on mid about 3 inches from VAL, mass bias ended up under my thumb. Wanted to see what this Meanie would do with a pin that helped the ball start early, but yet have the mass bias pushed away to help it clear the heads somewhat.
Will hopefully be trying them this weekend...but my schedule is packed the next few weeks as bowling season is gearing up..
And I have 16 more balls yet to drill for myself....maybe they will be done before Christmas...
