Triple Threat
« on: November 17, 2003, 04:51:03 AM »
I have only used my Triple Threat for about 15 games now, but I have to say I am a little disappointed with it.  I have never left so many 8- and 9- pins in my life!!  Just as I am about to get something going, it seems this ball does not allow me to.  Yesterday I started out with my Phenon and finished my first game throwing 10 strikes in a row, then early second game switched to the Triple Threat when the lanes started getting drier, and then came the 8- and 9- pins.  In practice I have gotten a lot of 8s and 9s as well with this ball, no matter what house I bowl at.  I know it is part of the game, but has anyone else noticed an inordinate number of 8- and 9 pins with this ball or is it just me?!?  I will update this in the coming weeks to see if this trend continues or not...

By the way, I really like the movement this ball makes to the pins.  If there is any dry area on the lane for this ball to grip, it will move.  A lot of oil you will not be able to play it, but I have found it is a very good complement to the Phenom once the Phenom starts hooking too much.
