Just to get my puzzle piece into place:

The Arsenal Artillery uses Goo LS as a polished solid
and the Equation uses the Goo LS in/as a pearlized version?

I'm getting more confused over these coverstocks. I wish Track would put what's what on the website.

(While, I'm ranting -) Are those numbers for length and backend, etc for the Equation the new numbering system or a mistake??

And if one of could pass this along to Track, any chance of putting the RG and RG diff for 14/15/16 lb balls on the website also?

I am pretty sure that the Artillery is a Solid/Pearl blend and the Equation is a Pearl version.
I agree they don't make it very clear what the covers actually are.
There are so many versions of Goo LS it's not funny.
Xception - orginal Goo LS (Pearl)
Delta 1 - Goo LS solid
Artillery - Goo LS Solid Pearl blend
Equation - Goo LS Pearl
Machine - Fang LS which is Goo LS Particle Pearl

Where it got confusing for me was when the Delta since it is a solid and the Xception was a Pearl but they are both listed as simply Goo LS. Evidently the Xception has more difference than just pearl when compared to the original Goo used on the Rule cause if not the Delta would just be Goo.

With the Mean Machine I read that it is a Particle Pearl in BJI and a Pearl in BTM and then I have also been told it is a Solid/Pearl blend of Nano.

Well, the Delta vs Rule coverstock was explained and I recalled that Goo LS solid in the Delta1 (I keep waiting for the Delta2 ...) was a stronger reacting cover than the Goo solid in the RUle. So the Delta was the stronger overall; but I wonder by how much. Some of these differences that we talk about can be on the "very tiny" side and are only revealed by doing bac to back comparisons.

Hmm, even more convoluted than I thought, but I do seem to do well with some of Track's solid/pearl combos.

So, was this confirmed by one of the Track's reps at one time?

Can't say for sure who it was that said that but I believe it was one of the reps.
What I don't understand is the pearl is what turned Goo into Goo LS from what I remember when the Xception came out. So why call the solid cover on the Delta Goo LS. Why not something else to prevent the confusion.

No, it was not the pearlization that turned Goo into Goo LS (one of the reps said that, way back when). It's just another chemical mix. WHy that name or even the original name,"Goo", I don't know. It sounds like some child playing with clay. Couldn't they think up a more adult name?

The ratings on the Equation are the new ratings. If they have not already done so they will change to those numbers on all of the new releases.

As I understand it Track is still in the process of getting the website to be more user friendly. I will definately send emails based on your feedback.

As for the Artillery, it is a solid pearl blend. I had this question when it was released and Del confirmed the answer.

Goo and Goo LS are totally different. It is not just adding the pearl to the Xception.

The Mean Machine is reactive. BJI made a mistake. I believe it is the same formula of "nano", but for the US release the name was changed.

To my understanding, that is correct.

Couldn't answer any questions about the names, I think it may actually come from marketing and that's just been the procedure and process. If anyone calls them and asks, they are more then happy to explain or help.

Carl is correct, it is reactive. BJ stated this incorrectly.

It's comparable to the differences between, say, Activator and Activator Plus, Advance, Maxx,... . Or Superflex and SF Enhanced. PowerPlus and PP EX. Tweaks to change the reaction characteristics. Goo LS seems to be cleaner through the heads than Goo with more backend.

It is confusing and Track certainly doesn't go out of its way to identify what's solid, pearl, particle, or particle pearl, leading to even more confusion.

I think they're much more confusing than Brunswick's names.

Thanks for emphasizing one of my points. If they'd put that piece of data somewhere in the data sheet, it would go a long way towards helping everyone get a truer picture of the ball's design parameters. By the way, add one more "pearl/solid combo"; it seems to be a Track favorite.

I don't think of myself, despite some people's opinion to the contrary,

, as particularly smart or particularly dumb, but they have to make it easier to get a handle on these balls.

I mean, do we really need a sceret decoder ring to make sense of this??
