Robo and other ??s
« on: November 22, 2005, 09:52:37 PM »
Hey guys.....

Just got BTM and was reading about the Robo.....BTM said, this "should" be the replacement for the GP2.  I've never seen BTM say something like this....Hmmmmm

Can you Track-heads do me a favor ?  Put the High performance line in order from strongest / oil handling ability to weakest.  I'd just like to know how it all fits together ? Thanks ....

btw....assume all drilled the same in box condition......thanks!

According to the site ...based upon Tracks numbers alone.....it goes like this:

Robo
GP2
5.0
Rule
Delta1
Xeption

But I'm not sure that's necessarily how it goes.......

Ok...so the Delta kind of took over for the Rule then...that makes sense

Yes sir, that is correct. The Delta is basically an Xception with a different weight block. It's got the Goo LS reactive coverstock, just a dull version of it! The delta flat out hooks!!

Until I get a Robo, match surface prep to a GP2...I find it hard to believe that all things equal, a light load will overall hook more than a medium load of the same particle. Granted, the GP2 has a high rg, but the Robo comes 800 with the GP2 is either 1200 or 1500...that makes a difference in itself right there. I would agree with Rev-O & Wylie on the order they see.

Those are overall hook numbers.
You asked how they handle oil. one does not correspond/correlate to the other.

I thought the Rule & the FAZ were no longer being made, but they're still onthe website. The Delta 1 replaced the Rule but its box surface is rougher although it is easily modified.

I kind of lean towards Rick's, tenpinspro, evaluation for the entire line, as to oil handling ability.

I remember reading here that an essential part was that the Delta's coverstock did not have the pearlization that the Xception has. So that it has the solid GOO LS coverstock vs the Rule's solid GOO coverstock.

Do I recall incorrectly??

Hey oooink,

I would say the Unleashed is slightly under the Rule for me.  Take a look at this vid (stored in my profile also)...it compares the Unleashed to the Delta to the AR...hope this helps.

First of all...you're preaching to the choir here and I think you know that.  Second, all I did was use the only numbers I had, and/or what was provided by Track.   I even say "based on Tracks numbers alone" That is why I asked the question in the first place.

I wasn't saying that the numbers of the site are and/or should be correct
