robo cover stock Question

The web site says 800 grit.  The spec. sheet that came with my ball says 1500 grit.  Are 2 different finishes being shipped??

i don't know if 2 different finishes are being shipped, mine appears much closer to 1500 than it does 800.

I'm thinking that the Robo at 800 grit dull might be as strong as the Track web sight indicates.  I don't see any way for this ball-at 1500 grit- to be stronger in oil than the GP2.  I wonder if anyone has taken their Robo to 800? and at 800 how does it compare to the GP2 or perhaps the Trifecta.

If I were on a flood I would still want the GP2 in my hands.....simply because it starts reading the lane sooner. In my review of the Robo I said that its total hook is more than the GP2's.......that is primarily because of how much backend the Robo has when it encounters friction. On a flood....the GP2 is still the ball of choice in my opinion.

I asked Track about this myself, and was told the drill sheet is incorrect and the 800 grit is correct about a month ago when the Fast Track samples came out.

Hi Clint -  Thanks for getting this cleared up for me.  I really felt like the cover was too smooth to be 800.

Thanks again Ex for responding, I too think that a really heavy pattern needs a heavy loaded GP2.  I don't have one yet...but I plan to have one soon.
