I have a Robo that I want to increase the backend on. I have a ball spinner and several different polishes, how does the grit of the cover before polishing change the reaction. Pin 4' from the PAP, MB 4 3/8, balance hole on the VAL.

What polishes do you have?

Do you wish to change the grit before polishing?

The higher grit you go up..ie if you go from 800 to 1500, the easier it is to polish.....

The reason for my question is after using Clean n Dull with a ball spinner this weekend, the ball doesn't seem to finish as hard as before. Could I have buffed the cleaner into the cover? I have scotchbrite pads, and several high grits of wet/dry sandpaper, along with Track Magic Shine, Storm Moon Shine, and Ultimate Black Magic.

More than likely what you did was buff it into the ball.

Polish wouldn't be the answer.

Check this out and read my response in the 7th post from the top. That is what you need to do. For the Robo Rule I would suggest using the grey scotchbrite.

Thanks for everyone's informative, and quick comments. I have tried using Clean n Dull by hand this time, and will let you know how it works out.
