Robo Rule Review

I drilled my Robo Rule on a 5 3/4 pin above middle finger, with a 4 3/4 mass bias placement. Finish is Clean and smooth topped with two layers of Protraction.

 Ball is very clean through the front with good midlane and strong backend. The ball is much cleaner through the front than the GP2 and is more continuous on the backend. With the longer spin time and more symetrical shape it doesn't stand up as quickly when it encounters dry and is smoother through out the lane.

 I feel this ball will be more versatile because of the lighter load of particle and smoother transition off of the dry.

 Mine out hooks all three of my GP2s shiny. Dull I am not sure but I think it would still out hook the GP2.

 Compared to the Delta it is a LOT smoother off of the break point and is stronger by about 3 boards on the condition I bowled on. Personally I like this ball a lot more than the GP2 and the Delta and will become a mainstay in my arsenal.

With the more symmetrical shape and look It is more versatile for me.
 
The GP2 is too early dull for me and wants to stand up too quick in the dry shiny. The Delta is too strong off the beakpoint for most conditions with my rev rate. I was very surprised how smooth and controllable the Robo is with the amount of hook it has. I am very impressed and am excited to see what it can do on the PBA patterns.

Mitch great review. I guess I anticipated the stronger reaction, due to a lighter particle load. The Clean N' Smooth and Protraction together I'm guessing gave you a little more "push" and travel cleaner the heads. Does Protraction act as a polish that will give your ball a tacky feeling?

I am guessing that with an Asymmetrical Block that epic, the light particle load kind of offsets a very strong reaction most of us expect out of an Asymmetric ball.

I too have a Delta and it is the sharpest ball off the dry that I've ever owned. Maybe this one might compliment the Delta quite well.

Again, great review Mitch, and let us know how this ball fares off at your PBA Regional stops throughout the season!

i have a gp2, and it's relatively consistent.  I pretty much know what it's going to do.  Does the Robo get further down the lane than the OOB Robo?  And, does it have more of a "snap" than the gp2?

If you throw the GP2 and the Robo out of the box the Robo will go longer and be more continuous on the backend.

Hey Mitch, one more question. I anticipate that this ball could handle a tad bit more oil than the Delta being that it does have a particle coverstock correct?

It will handle more oil and be more consistant at the breakpoint coming out of heavy oil.
