Robo Rule video,
« on: August 25, 2006, 01:50:59 PM »
The video is kinda crappy but hey it is my first one. Now the shot I am playing in the video is standing 38 laying it down at the line at 35 sending out to about 6 and back. Carl kinda burnt out the lane so I had to stand super deep even with the robo ruel being at 1500.

This link will take you to a newer video with 2 added shots and some fun stuff, witch makes it a little more like one of mikes video. Yet the video footage is still the same but with 2 throws added. Even one where I reved it a little harder.

Yeah that is definitely playing deep.
Not sure where you were starting but you are finishing on about 45 so you couldn't have gone much further left.
Nice form, you finish a long way from the line like I do sure wish I could get rid of that what about you.

Well like I said in my post I stated at 38 but I do tend to have a little drift, witch I am fine with having. Also I like finishing where I do, for one I dont have to worry about going over the foul line. The other reason is it lets me use all of the lane and with my revs I feel I need to keep it in the oil a little longer. If not then I go threw the nose to much. Thanks for the comments guys. Keep them comeing. Also I have a review on for the robo rule on here and it tells the layout and hase a photo of the layout. Here that is

Mark throws a good ball.

The Robo in his hands is one of the more impressive balls I have seen him throw....it is extremely effect when it gets to the hole.

The shot he is shooting on is a house shot with the heads triple oiled....but I had thrown quite a few shots before he got to that lane.

Scoot,

By your response it seems that you took offense to my comments, if so I apologize cause that was not the intention at all.
I do feel the need to say that finishing closer to the line will make the ball go longer allowing you to not have to play so deep.
Not sure if you are aware of it or not but the first 6" or so of the lane do not get oiled due to the placement of the buffing brush/oil head so when you finish that far from the line your ball will often land on a bone DRY section of the lane which costs you more length than you would expect given the minimal time that it is in that unoiled section.
I didn't realize until watching some vid of myself and noticed a fairly considerable difference in reaction when I set the ball down at the line vs about 6" past the line even though it felt the same off my hand. This is the reason I take notes when I film myself, makes it much easier to distinguish differences.

Na no offense, if it came out like I was being a little hostal then I must say I am sorry for that. As to the oil not being that close to the line, I know all about that. I have worked at the bowling ally I filmed at for going on almost 4 years, and I have help carl enough. Also I dont set it down dead at the line, I am a little past it when I throw good. When I dont I tend to bounce it off the approch early and back on to my hand. Yet I thank you for the response.

Wow! That's not too bad of a mini video Scoot! I like that movement (im sure you do to, lol) that the Robo gives you. Your approach looks pretty smooth moving to me also. You should start making some more vids, with maybe some better quality, and longer if possible, and they'll be awesome!

Keep it uP!

Scoot, nice ball bud.  Carl said you have a very clean and nice release.  Stay under guidance and you'll pass him up in no time.  For me it's true, a majority of my students pass me up after I'm done with them (stronger physical games).  Keep up the good work...

Scoot, the second video is very good! I like when you showed what happened with more revs then you take revs off, and you get a flush strike. Nice video!

Thanks for the comment, I will have better feed when I use my cam. Yet I dont think 20 balls is the number, somthing more like lets see just from me, ROBO RULE, ROBO RULE, RULE DELTA, HAVOC, SHEER HAVOC, SOLUITON PPEX, 5.0, crunch time, desert heat (all 15), rule gp2, animal, emb pearl (them three only 16), then if I want I could bust out my columbia line to make a company comparison video. LOL I go that route I have a complet arsenal out of them. LOL we could end up having maybe 30 balls.
