Drilled my Robo Rule this week. Set it up with 5x 4 1/2, with the pin 2 5/8 above the midline, Hole on the axis. Left the surface Box Finish. Bowled a local Handicap Tourney this weekend and matched up real well. Bowled on older AMF Synthetics. Medium Oil condition probably about a 40ft pattern, with some friction to the right. This was just my second set with the ROBO, and shot 280, 258, 300 for an 838 in qualifying. Followed it up with 253, and 230(with a pocket 7-10(bad Rack)) in match play. The ball was awesome. In the past I ran into an over under problem in this center, but the particle evened it out real nicely. I threw the Delta (similar drill 51/2x41/2)to get a comparison, and it got down the lane a bit further with a sharper back end turn. It was my goto ball when they started to break down a little more. In comparing the ROBO across the board to the GP2 and the Delta. It doesn't seem to lose axis rotation quite as fast as the GP2 when it encounters the friction (Longer transition with more continuous backend), and it also clears the front a little easier. High enough RG and smmothe enought transition for the Rev Dom Speed challenged players. Enough Surface for the Speed Dom player. Great ball for a pretty wide range of conditions.
