ROBO..vs..DELTA1..vs..GP2..Video
« on: November 23, 2005, 07:38:37 PM »
Here ya go Revolutionists!  I've been asked so here I am to deliver....

Robo Rule - 4x3 5/8mb pin 3.25 above mid (over ring)..influenced by EXCALIBER and D PAT. OOB

Delta 1 - 4.25x4mb 1 7/8 above mid (under ring) OOB

GP2 - 5x3mb 3.25 above mid (over bridge) OOB and a little dirty right now..

Pattern: 34 buffed to 42 heavy centers, oil line at about 12-13 dry from 5-10
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I will have to reiterate my teammates here about the ball being "STRONG" yet "CONTROLLED".  It is exactly the same reaction I got from this ball.  Comparatively, I get the following and the vid shows this...

Robo vs Delta - rolls sooner with a little more overall hook, Delta will push downlane easier before turning over later and harder on the backend

Robo vs GP2 - rolls a little later but also looks stronger off the free hook while the GP2 rolls sooner and is smoother on the backend due to its heavier particle load.

Overall, very strong reaction and offers more control for a stronger rev to speed player like myself.  When the GP tends to burn a little due to the lack of concentrated oil and the Delta is a tad too angular, this ball fits right in between.  Great read and hit as you guys will see....enjoy fellas....

Hey Rick,

I was going to say, with the GP2 you mixed 'em really well. It almost looked like it burned up in the heads and sputtered out on the back end. The reaction shape of what yours was in the video was exactly how mine was after only 2-3 months of use. The Delta just looks plum sweet anyways. It's been about the same 2-3 months and the Delta is still a winner and still in my bag for league nights. I'm still hesistant about the Robo but it has curbed my curiousity, plus I have to save the money back for one before hand! Great vids Rick, God Bless you and have a safe holiday weekend!

it looks like you played 15 to 8ish with all shots...

As described, the GP2 burned out in the mid line, with no added back end.

It looked like you got the Delta a little further right too, thus the "over reaction (and the semi-nine pin).

But the Robo, got down the lane, chomping at the bit (to hook), and then finally went into its roll and crushed the hole.

Now, will you use the Robo instead of the GP2?  If so, why?  Less particle load?

Thx for the video...that's great that you take the time to show us!

Awesome Vid Boss! Wow, just how I anticipated these balls to hook. Looks like a great ball for bowlers who don't see the flood normally, but want a particle ball that will bite on Medium-Heavy stuff.

I think it's a great idea that they put a light-load particle coverstock on ball with a weight block and core designed as dynamic as the one seen in the Robo Rule.

Light Load particle = Grab in oil, but not as much as Med-High Load
Core & Flipblock = Symmetric core surrounded by a U-Shaped Flip Block looks to be designed for a great backend reaction for a particle ball.

Damn you Rick! Why did you have to make this video...*contemplates busting open the piggy bank*

BTW - Happy Holidays everyone =)

Best Regards,

Robo looks like it has a similar reaction shape as my Phenom, just a bit stronger

Mmmm, nice vid!

The Delta is clearly more angular, and that GP2 burned up pretty badly.  I definitely need to get a Robo-Rule!  It seems so much more versatile as it can be used on lanes that aren't quite flooded but still pretty heavy.

I can't wait to get one!

...and I'm just lovin' all these vids that everyone is putting out!

Thanks Rick,

That Robo looks sweet. I really like the ball reaction you got out of yours. Nice and controlled. I may have to get one of these on order.

Rock
It worked for me yesterday but I too get an error now. Putfile must have added a no download feature since I downloaded it. I will upload it to my server and post a link when I get home from work tonight, it will be quite late though since I won't get home til about 2am CST.

To a certain degree, my house shot has become very black and white in the break area to where anything slides in the middle and everything can hook from that dry area as well.  It makes it a little difficult to truly tell differences on this type of shot but I tried to show you what I could.

It'll depend on the shot. On this shot, I think I would use the Robo cause it gave me the best in between read, not too angular nor too straight.

Thanks for the comments guys, any other questions, feel free to ask.  I'm going to try and do some more this week...starting my new job tomorrow though and then shop at nite so if I seem cranky, mean and rude, you'll know why...LOL.
