It's about family
« on: May 04, 2008, 01:55:07 PM »
I was on a long trip last week when I started thinking about the game... where it's taken me, the equipment I've thrown and the people I've met.

When I started thinking about my history with Track and their equipment, I asked myself "Why do I really like Track?"  It's not the incredible equipment or the scores that I've accomplished with it.  It's not shirts or bags.  It's about FAMILY...The Legion.

When a bowler buys a Track piece they aren't just getting a bowling ball.  They become a new member of a family.  They are welcomed to this family with open arms regardless of race, color or creed.  They are accepted no matter what their ability or skill level may be.

I have made countless friends through The Legion over the years.  I'm not talking about somebody who occasionally shoots you an e-mail.  I'm talking about close friends.  People you can rely on and people who know that they can rely on you.

When I had my accident, some of the first phone calls, cards and e-mails that I received were from Legion members.  For that I will be eternally grateful.  I didn't receive the support just because I bought a ball or was on staff.  I received the support because I'm part of a family.

Some of the family strayed after the purchase by Ebonite.  The Legion will be here to welcome them back when they are ready to return.  I strayed from Track a few years ago to try another label.  It was a label that also claimed to have a "family".  It's not even close to what we have here.  Let me tell ya guys (and girls) we have something special in The Legion.

To Fig and the rest of the gang in Hoptown...
There has been lots of talk about what has and hasn't been done since the Ebonite deal.  Through it all, good, bad or indifferent, The Legion still stands strong.  We will continue to stand behind the label through thick and thin.

The hardest part is over.  The first year had a rough spot or two, but Track still managed to get four great pieces out.  These four pieces are the building blocks to the future.  Good luck to the crew in KY.  I think now is the time that the Track family will truely rise to the top.

I have only been a staff member since Dec., but I agree.
In a short period of time I've already seen how Track and it's staffers are more than just business partners and I will be on staff as long as they want me to be. Thanks Track, Thanks Fig and Thanks Scott Hayes for the Chance to represent a great company.

Welcome aboard Jeff. I have seen you at a few regionals but I don't think we ever had the chance to talk. There is no place else I would rather be.

Once again guys...it's definitely about family.
I just got back home from The Hoinke. While at Western Bowl, I ran into our Legion brother and fellow staff member Calvin Dennis. It was nice to catch up a bit on the times between Training Camp and now. I had finished up for the day, but stuck around to watch Calvin finish out his set. I cheered him on like any a good brother should. Calvin was off to a good start for the weekend. Hope ya finished strong Cal!

The family grew by four members this week. I convinced four guys that went to Cincy with me to give us a shot. They are now believers. Welcome to the family guys and good luck with the new gear!

Oh...and Jeff a belated congratulations to you and you family on the new addition!
