Old School Track replacements
« on: December 19, 2004, 04:51:22 PM »
Friend of mine really, really likes the solid green Synergy that Track produced in '96.  He has owned 4 of them over the years and would like another.  They are increasingly more difficult to find and Track no longer has the materials to produce the ball anymore.

What current ball in the Track line up would possibly match that ball?
Is there a ball on the market from another company that matches up with it?

Hey J Mac,

Sorry, not ignoring you but I didn't throw the Synergy solid.  Can you tell us what condition your friend is on and describe his game to some degree and we could then help pick a ball in our current line up that would fit the bill.  Thanks.

From what he has said the ball was really too versatile to really nail it down to a specific condition.  I've done some looking and no one really has anything close to those numbers on a core.  Something that might be close though could be the Ti Traction.

As far as his game, I'm going to have to generalize unfortunately.  Midrange tweener with an average axis tilt. And by average I mean the versatile area where drillers don't feel they need to help the ball reaction leverage layouts and big holes.

So  what's the most versatile ball Track has? He likes playing down and in on tough shots that he's not familiar with.

Hey J Mac,

I'd say one of our most versatile pieces is the FAZ.  It offers great mid lane read and good backend on most average conditions.  If your friend likes to play a little more down and in, the Slash will also fit in this mold pretty well.  I have my Slash drilled for control and it is also very smooth coming off the dry.  Just another choice for you to consider for him.  Hope this helps some...

It will.  He's looking for something under his Apex Aggresion and Wow Pearl.  I think he's been considering a Wicked BRT, but even that ball is tough to find now.
