Rule Delta vs Big Time Solid....
« on: October 07, 2005, 09:29:02 AM »
I know the Big TIme has a little Particle, but the ball goes long then comes bak with a hard arc.

I was just wondering if these two balls would overlap each other.

I am not exactly sure but, I would almost wager that the Delta would be like the Big Time on steroids!

I have yet to drill any Big Times, but from the specs alone, with the Big Times particle in the cover, it will probably pick up a roll a bit sooner while the Delta, using the Goo LS(long/strong) cover and the densest flip block on the market, will get down the lane better and more than likely flip harder.

Also, with the dense mass bias, you can tune the overall ball reaction with where you place the mass bias on the Delta, you can't do that on the Big Time.

The Delta, as is the story with all of Track's equipment, takes cover changes VERY well and you can adjust your ball till you find what you want.

Rule Delta sounds like the Hawg or a Big Deal.

What do you think CLint?

Clint,

You are so very right on with your post.  I have drilled many Big Time Solids and on a fresh 42 foot shot at box finish, with any hand in the ball at all, the ball picks up a roll pretty quickly.  It works wonders for those with less hand and slightly faster ball speeds.  It also polishes up really easy, though if you wanted that, you could just drill the pearl version.  I have seen 1 Rule Delta go down the lane and it fits right between the Rule and the Xception from what I could see.  Gets started a little earlier than the Xception and slightly more overall hook.
