Slash - Elite
« on: January 20, 2005, 03:54:38 AM »
How different are the Slash and Elite really?  I know the numbers are a little different (2.50 and .0476 for the Elite, 2.52 and .047 for the Slash) with the RG being a little higher for the Slash, but other than that, how much of a difference would one see?

The BIG difference is how much stronger the Slash's cover is compared to the Elite. It is a newer, updated cover to be able to handle the oil of today compared to the oil of 5 years ago with the Elite.

Oh then I am going to love this ball!  Any one know of a site that has old specs on older discontinued balls?  I tried Tracks site but got nothing.  Is there a site that lists old specs?

i agree. i got a hold of an elite and it hasn't left my bag, just like the 2 slashes. Cover is alot stronger, though both balls roll similar. Balls react very well to different layouts.

Great One...what kind of layout do you have on your Elite?  I was thinking of something like a 2x2 or 3x0, something to tame down the backend quite a bit.

have a pic some where on the this computer..it has the pin below, and right of my ring finger, cg is out and there's a small hole. slash 1 is a zero degree...pin and cg are in a line right across from each other. The other slash as the pin on the bridge, cg swung out a smidith, no ex hole on that one.
