Ok, drilled it up this morning. After looking over the drill sheet I came up with #2 placements on both the pin and mb in the medium track area. That put the pin above my bridge and the mb 1/2" right of thumb. I wanted to create a decent amount of length but get that backend pop that the ball is made for.
After throwing a few games with it, here is what I can say about it.
The shot was left over from Friday night so the heads were a bit on the drier side and the backends were spotty. Most of the oil was left of 12 with it being on the medium side, especially in the middle. At first I didnt know where to play this ball. I was throwing it side by side with my Untamed. I really had to play in the oil with the Untamed because if I got it into the dry to soon, it naturally revved up early and went left of the head pin. With the Xception, I was standing on 28, crossing 15 at the arrows and hitting 8 with my break point at about 45 ft down the lane. This ball is snappy. It reminds me of my Sheer Havoc except the Sheer starts up a bit sooner. The Xception recovers from anywhere. Get it wide and it comes back hard, hold it in the oil and it tames down a bit. I was experimenting on the lanes and found good angles to play from 2nd through 5th arrow.
This ball is very aggressive and will complement my Rule nicely, gets down the lane a few extra feet and flips a bit harder.
The hit on the ball was too hard in my opinion. Although with it only being around 30 degrees outside, the air was dry and the pins were sounding quite crisp today so every hit was loud. Messengers were a regular sight when near the pocket.
Thus far I like what I saw, I will post more and a real review once I throw it on more oil in league and see how it really performs.

I just close my eyes and throw the ball
