Title: Rule replacement ?
Post by: charlest on May 21, 2005, 10:02:41 PM
Directed mostly at the Track reps here (Carl, Rick, Clint, Anthony):

I ask this in public vs private messages because I think it's of general interest.

Is there a direct equivalent of the Rule, since it's been discontinued?
I can see that its reaction can be easily duplicated among Track's current balls when spread among the Angular, the Xception 5.0 and possibly a polished GP2, maybe the Slash. BUT is there any one ball that was designed to be its equivalent?

Well, I'll chime in, although I'm not the expert. I see th 5.0 as their "replacement" ball. I don't believe they are trying to duplicate the Rule, hence its discontinued status, but rather are trying to improve on it.

The 5.0 I THINK is designed to tr to takes it place. However, with that said, it is still not reactive as the Rule is. There are many people out there who will be wanting a dull reactive asymmetrical ball to replace the Rule, just as they were wanting another particle pearl before the 5.0.

charlest,

In the current line there is not a direct replacement. I view the 5.0 as the replacement but you would have to tweek the cover to get closer in reaction to the Rule.
