Rule
« on: December 14, 2004, 07:01:30 AM »
First off I want to thank Clint for the recommendation of the Rule.  I threw my first 3 game set yesterday in league and I absolutely loved it.  It does exactly what most people have said on here.  It revs early, makes a nice read in the midlane and at the break point makes a sharp left turn.  A very aggressive ball that works great on oil.  Give it room though, if you miss left it goes left.  I shot 709 and considering the fact I have a 224 average in the league it's not a fantastic score but I love the ball and it will soon become the first out of the bag with some more practice.  Everything was a 9 count or strike until the first ball in the 10th frame of the last game.  Until I get a feel for it I probably won't be throwing it the last game of a set though.  I chased the oil all night and by the middle of the last game I was leaving flat tens.  But that was my fault in not trusting the ball and making the proper release adjustments(since I didn't know what it would do yet).  Overall I am very pleased with it.  Great ball Track and thanks to all who gave an accurate review.

Hey Hookem,

This is where the Xception fits perfectly.  In the middle of my 2nd game, I also have to switch to the Xception because of exactly what you mentioned.  Just when the head oil starts to fade some and the Rule starts to burn a little early, the Xception puts me right back on the same line with the correct amount of skid, hook and roll.  Look into this ball, the Rule and Xception make a great 1-2 punch.  Keep up the good shooting...

hookem,

Rick hit it dead on. When you are leaving flat 10s later in the shift/night, the Xception is perfect. Usually it allows me to move over where I was with the Rule before I had to start chasing the oil. It is a perfect compliment to the Rule.

When you get one let us know how it works for ya.

Will do.  Hopefully around Christmas.  Track is making some good stuff.  Strange, I have never had a track ball I didn't like yet I've only thrown 4 of them.  This one, Heat 2, Triton Elite and Pearl Triton Elite.  I should buy Track more often..

Glad to be of service! That is why we Ten, Ex, and myself are here.
I will also agree the X-Ception would fit in perfect for you just like the guys said above when you start leaving flat tens. Ball gets down the lane nice and has an awesome kick on the backend.

More about the Rule.  I can't say enough good things about this ball.  I threw it in travel league this weekend and it worked phenomenally.  I decided to get in brackets on Monday, (despite the fact that I have a 225 average this is only the 2nd time I got into brackets, I usually shoot consistant scores, not 250+ scores).  I get into 11 of 13 brackets.  233 the first game, pass all of them by sheer luck.  247, pass all of them, again I'm dumbfounded.  Third game.  S72 X X X X 9/ X 9/ X 9/ X  218 or whatever it was.  One first and 10 seconds.  The 9 spares were all 10 pins.  When the guy I buy my equipment from comes back from vacation I will be purchasing my X-ception.
