Sanding a FAZ
« on: October 05, 2005, 01:32:39 AM »
Has anyone sanded a Freak-A-Zoid?  If so, what was the reaction compared to OOB or polished?

Any ball will be earlier when sanded, as opposed to polished.  I've had the best luck with mine, sanded to 600 and polished.

Ditto!  Actually, I used maroon abralon (400-600 I guess) with Magic Shine.  Very nice

I have mine OOB and polished up more from there.  I was just wondering how much stronger it would be sanded.  As compared to say a Rule.

It will be able to handle more oil as everyone else has said. It should be earlier than your Rule based upon both of them being reactives and the FAz having a lower RG. What could make the Rule stronger is if you have it drilled strong with the mass bias strong and take the surface down a little, and the Rule will probably try to start as soon as a sanded FAZ.

I guess the easiest way to find out is going to be to try it and compare the two.

Kyle,

I had a sanded Freakazoid and it was pretty strong. Read my Freakazoid review in the review section it will tell you everything.
