Hey korkey,

Our typical "high" track is good for reaction but can limit us to certain layouts due to cover and weight block designs.  Weight blocks and covers have taken over for what we can't do naturally so for those who can do something physically, we really don't need more help.

Perfect example: Watch PDW on ESPN Classic and watch him now....he used to rip the cover off the ball but now has a very simple and weak open handed release...due to weight block and cover strength.

Imagine a golf driver that can hit 400 yards on its own, who would Tiger, Daly or Vijay be?  That's why NCGA stopped it at Titanium.....unfortunately, bowling never stopped....ABC did not see ahead of themselves to measure cover and core strengths...trying now but TOO late.

With a higher track, you will get more out of the revolutions you put on the ball. One roll on the ball will have more surface touching the lane.
A high track is better on heavier oil, and a lower track is better on drier lanes. Im not sure, but i think a high track will cause the ball to roll slightly earlier .

Its caused because you dont tilt the ball. A straight wrist can cause it. If you release the ball with the hand behind the ball, a straight up release, you will often have a high track. If you relase the ball with the thumb at 10 11 o´clock you will often have a lower track. Its actually cuite hard to describe how you gets a high track.

actually thats what i figured caused it, and that is how i do release it but when i have to i get on the side of the ball just as good as anybody else, my a game is standing 3 boards left of middle and throwing to 10. i'm kinda wondering about putting a little vid clip of my form online, i've been told numerous times i have a good form and release. well i've gotta go to work at good old colonial lanes peace

Pls post a vid, it is much easier to decipher an individual's game.  

Guy's/Gal's pls feel free to do the same, nobody here in the "Track" forum is going to rip you intentionally.  If they do, they become ignored and we won't have to deal with them again.  Carl and I are here to help and that won't ever change.....that's why I am looking into our own site where we can eliminate unnecessary posts.
